Testing Grounds shortlisted for IWPA Award

We are thrilled to share the news that NAARCA’s Testing Grounds has been shortlisted for an International Women’s Podcast Award in the “Moment of Compelling Storytelling” category, on the basis of a clip from the bonus episode featuring Mairi Macleod’s Cur na Mara/Seasickness story (written in Gaelic and translated to English) which was also commissioned by NAARCA. 

There were over 700 entries from 33 countries for consideration across 10 categories. All the nominees are listed here. The winners will be announced on the 19th of June.

Presented by Everybody Media, the International Women’s Podcast Awards brings together podcasters, audio professionals, and podcast enthusiasts to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in podcasting. This year’s event will showcase the remarkable work and creative excellence of podcasters across multiple categories. From educational and informative shows, to captivating storytelling, the International Women’s Podcast Awards will recognise the best in the business. A panel of judges consisting of podcasters, journalists and experienced professionals will evaluate the submitted entries and select the winners across multiple categories.
